Signorelli's Challenge
Signorelli is a family-owned artisan bakery with three sites in east London. They pride themselves on producing food made from quality ingredients, some of their most popular items include croissants, cakes, cookies and focaccia toasties.
Signorelli cares deeply about the environment and wants to reduce their carbon impact, but they found it difficult to find the balance between operational excellence and great waste management. Before working with First Mile, they had experienced missed bin collections and overweight charges.
First Mile's Solution
As well as Mixed Recycling and General Waste collections, we set up a dedicated Food Recycling collection for Signorelli to ensure all their food waste is recycled. Not only did this boost their recycling rate, but it also reduced their waste costs too.
