The First Mile Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Davy as Chief Executive Officer, marking an exciting new chapter in the company’s continued growth.

The past 18 months have been a period of significant momentum for First Mile. Following our acquisition by Warren Equity Partners in December 2024, we have accelerated our growth strategy — expanding both organically and through a number of strategic acquisitions in 2025.

This progress has enabled us to deliver a record-breaking year for sustainability and impact; saving over 133,000 tonnes of carbon emissions by supporting 35,000 businesses across the UK and Ireland to reduce their waste, recycle more and get compliant with changing legislation.

To support our continued expansion, Susan joins the business with extensive experience leading environmental and infrastructure organisations. She brings a strong track record of delivering performance and driving sustainable growth, making her ideally placed to lead First Mile through its next phase.

Founder Bruce Bratley will remain closely involved in the business, continuing in a strategic role to support long-term growth and ensure the company stays true to its purpose.

Bruce Bratley, Founder of First Mile, said:

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at First Mile and the impact we’re making. Susan brings a wealth of experience and a strong focus on delivery and growth, and I’m really looking forward to working closely with her as we continue to scale the business.”

Susan Davy, Chief Executive Officer, said:

“I’m delighted to be joining the First Mile Group at such an exciting time. There’s a fantastic platform, great people, and a real opportunity ahead. I’m looking forward to getting started and building on the strong foundations already in place.”

We are excited to welcome Susan to First Mile and look forward to the journey ahead as we continue our mission to help businesses reduce their carbon impact through smarter waste and recycling solutions.
