Founded in 1989, Allpress Espresso have been roasting speciality coffee for over three decades. They do this at their roastery in east London, whilst also serving the locals at the adjoining Café.
Their commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of their business, from ethically sourcing their coffee beans to using renewable energy sources for their roastery operations.
As a producer of coffee, Allpress Espresso wanted to ensure that as much of the waste coffee they created was recycled.
Being a multi-use site brought unique challenges such as managing waste from the café, the roastery and their storage unit often requiring ad-hoc clearances.
First Mile's Solution
We set up a dedicated Coffee Grounds recycling stream, set up daily collections for their café including Mixed Recycling, Food Waste and General Waste, we also provided a direct contact for same-day, zero-to-landfill bulky waste clearances.
